Hide Yo Kids...

I figured I would make my first blog about something that I have probably seen 100 times, and that is the Bed Intruder song. For those of you that have not seen this video yet: 1) what rock have you been living under. And 2) go watch it, it’s funny.
This isn’t about the video; this is more about the fact that after making that video Antoine Dodson, the bed main person in the video, is making probably six figures for doing guest appearances on shows and other things. He was on TV new year’s day and he was talking about how he was making $50,000 for each appearance that he makes, and I have probably seen him do almost every late night talk show and other talk shows that there is. Now multiply that by 50,000, and you can see how that is a ton of money. Even on New Year’s Day, he was wearing some giant fur coat and leather pants.
So this brings me to my next point. I'm fairly sure that if I tried hard enough that I could do something and get it put on you tube and it be very popular. So this brings up the question, could I have skipped college, carried a video camera around, and eventually caught something on tape that would be a big hit? I would most likely make a bit of money eventually; I have a tendency to see some of the craziest things… and do some stupid stuff.
Antoine Dodson is not the first person on youtube to make a ton of money. Two other examples that come to mind are David after dentist and the double rainbow song. The people that did the bed intruder song and double rainbow song just took the audio and put it through an auto tuner, and I know for a fact they made quite a bit of money as well. I could just go though and randomly auto tune videos until I get a hit, make money like that as well.
All I'm trying to say it that people can find some bull s**t ways to make money on youtube. I think I just need to always keep a video camera on me, eventually I will catch something that will make me some money, even if I only send it to America’s Funniest Videos, you can make a pretty good chunk of change on that show as well. I guess that’s I have to say on that topic, I guess if anyone reads this and starts carrying their camera because of it and has a hit because of my blog, all I ask for is 10%.
