Spring break and dook game

So one again today was one of my dreaded two exam days, they are 15 minutes apart so there is no down time in between them. It really doesn’t matter now because I am DONE!!! The best part is now I am pretty much home free for spring break. Yeah that’s right, my first college spring break, and trust me, it is going to be nothing like in the movies. I plan on actually doing nothing, which is going to be absolutely the best thing I could think of doing. After being in the grind of school for the past several weeks, I am in desperate need of a spring break.
This brings me to my next point, why in the world is UNC kicking students out before the DOOK Carolina game? I mean are they trying to get student to not go to the game and make a ton of noise to help our school? If I was the school and really wanted to increase our home court advantage I would increase the size of the student section, not make kids go home. Yes I know how much money the school would lose if they increased the number of free student tickets to the game, but it would make me so much more excited for the game if I knew that I actually have a chance to go.
One thing that really made me mad was when I went to the Maryland game, there was a girl sitting 2 rows in front of me and did not stop texting the whole game, she didn’t even stand up for most of the game. I mean I wish there was a way to screen out those people that are going to do that, and let the people who actually care about the game go. There should be a “you must scream until your throat is sore” addendum to a student getting the ticket.
Anyways, I don’t live very far away, so I am going to drive up here and try to get a stand by ticket. I would hope that it would not be that hard to get, seeing that everyone is going to be gone for spring break. Well I guess that is about all that is on my mind this week.

  1. Good luck on getting duke tickets! I've always thought that tickets to this game are simply impossible for students so I didn't even apply. Dook sucks and I hope we kill them to win the ACC! You're so lucky you don't have much work this week, I would wear a hard hat around campus literally every day this week to switch spots with you! Your spring break sounds very relaxing! I'm leaving for Myrtle Beach on Sunday, which I am kind of skeptical about. The weather is supposed to be chilly and high winds! That's not swinsuit-appropriate weather, which is a little disappointing! I remember in high school all of my friends would go somewhere warm for spring break, and come back so tan, and instead of that, my family would decide to go to Chicago or New York, aka somewhere freezing and the exact opposite of where I wanted to be on spring break. Spring break is about relaxation, and taking a break from normal hectic day to day activities. Walking around all day, going from place to place doesn't appeal to me when I am trying to relax and recoup. I hope you enjoy it!

  2. I am so excited for spring break even though I am not doing anything really. I am just staying at home for the whole break, visiting a bunch of my friends from high school. Today, I did absolutely nothing. I sat on the couch with my mom and watched movies all day and I must say that it felt awesome. I have not been able to do that in a while. Another thing that I am excited about is the Duke game, or maybe I should say DOOK. I was so mad about the first time we played them, along with everyone else. It baffled me, and it still does, how we were playing so well in the first half and then just basically died in the second giving Duke another win to add to their stats. Anyway, I hope this game tonight will not be like that, and besides, we are on our own turf so we will definitely show those unfortunate Duke people how the game is really played! I’m getting ready, right now to go over to my friend’s house and watch the game! I am expecting a huge victory. Raa Raa Carolina! Go TARHEELS! :)

  3. Did you ever get DUKE tickets? I was so upset I didn't get to go. I am actually a JV cheerleader and cheered at the Women's ACC tournament all weekend. This was a fun weekend with that. They played really well until they lost to DUKE in the championship today. At least our men’s team won and are ACC CHAMPS!! It was such an awesome game to watch. I was really ready to rush Franklin, but I couldn't. I really also wish the game would have been while we were still in school. I was jealous after looking at all the pictures from Franklin. I really want to experience the chaos of Franklin Street after a victory over Duke. I wanted to be there so bad!!! Maybe next year I will be cheering for the men’s games, but if not, I WILL find a ticket. I am determined.
